Chhattisgarh Public Service commission (CGPSC) conducts exam for the recruitment to the posts in Chhattisgarh Civil Services for the post of Deputy District Magistrate, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Accounting Officer, Superintendent district jail, District fighter, city service, Assistant registrar, cooperative institutions, Chhattisgarh subordinate accounting services, Commercial tax inspector, Excise sub-inspector, Deputy Registrar, Assistant jail superintendent, Commercial Tax Officer. CGPSC Selection Process: The CGPSC competitive exam comprises of Preliminary exam (Two papers of Objective Type) of 400 marks, Main Exam (7 Papers for 1400 marks Written Type) and The interview of 150 marks:-

The Preliminary Examination of CGPSC will consist of Two paper of 200 marks each. Time duration for each paper of CGPSC pre exam will be for 2 hours. Question paper of CGPSC pre exam will be of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks for 100 questions. The CGPSC pre examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The Standard of the CGPSC prelims paper will be that of a Bachelor’s Degree Level.

Note:-
(1) CGPSC Paper-II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
(2) It is mandatory for the Candidates to appear in both the papers of Preliminary Examination of CGPSC for the purpose of evaluation. Therefore, a candidate will be disqualified in case he does not appear in both in papers of CGPSC pre exam.
(3) The merit of the Candidates will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I of the Preliminary Examination of CGPSC.
